Welcome to the Introduction to Sustainable Procurement Training Course.

In this short course, you will learn how procurement influences UNIPET's Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance.


You will also discover how global frameworks: including ISO 20400: 2017 - Sustainable Procurement Guidance, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), connect to the work we do every day.


You will learn what sustainable procurement is, why it matters, and how you support it in your role.


By the end of this training session, you will be able to: (convert to graphic)

  1. Define sustainable procurement according to ISO 20400.

  2. Identify how procurement influences UNIPET’s environmental, social, and governance performance.

  3. Understand the link between procurement and the UN SDGs & UNGC Principles.

  4. Apply basic sustainability criteria when evaluating suppliers and products.

  5. Recognize roles and responsibilities in implementing sustainable procurement at UNIPET.

  6. Describe the concept of life-cycle impacts and how it affects purchasing decisions
